I will stamp all over 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming bout.

Former two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
